    Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Opportunity

Event Details: Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Opportunity

    Brethren,

We have an opportunity to come together and support a meaningful cause in our community through our partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut.

Habitat for Humanity builds safe, affordable housing for families in need, and volunteers play a direct role in that work. Brothers will be assisting with hands-on construction tasks alongside the Habitat team, helping turn a house into a home.

We are looking for Brothers, along with their families and friends, who are available to volunteer on the following dates:

    • Tuesday, April 21
    • Saturday, June 27

There is no expectation to attend both dates. If you are able to participate in just one, your time and effort will make a difference.

    How to Sign Up

You can register directly through the VolunteerUP system:

    • Create an account or log in
    • Important: When creating your account, make sure to select Brainard Masonic Lodge as your Group Team
    • Complete your sign-up and required waiver
    • Confirm your registration
    • Visit the calendar and select your preferred date (Select the Brainard Lodge Shift)

Each participant must register individually prior to arriving on site.

Once you have signed up, please let Senior Warden Michael Bogdan, chair of our Community Outreach & Charity Committee, or Brother Bob Locker know which date you selected so we can keep track of participation.

    What to Expect

The workday runs from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and volunteers should plan to arrive by 8:15 a.m. for check-in and orientation. No prior construction experience is required.

    What to Bring

    • Sturdy work shoes or boots (no open-toed shoes)
    • Comfortable work clothes (long pants recommended)
    • Lunch and water

If you have any questions or need help with the registration process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Senior Warden Michael Bogdan or Brother Bob Locker.

Community involvement has been a priority of mine this year, and this is a great opportunity to give back, strengthen our presence in the community, and work side by side as Brothers.

    Thank you for your consideration.

    Fraternally,

    Jonathan Lamas
